Recently, Nilfisk has relaunched a growth strategy called Accelerate+ resulting in a major organizational change. In Global Operations (GO) the organization is reorganize and streamlined even more with the purpose to increase Group product cost competitiveness, while sustaining a best-in-class product quality and continuing the development of the strongest global supply chain in the industry. The Global Operations organization covers Global Procurement, Global Production, Global Supply Chain, Global Quality, a PMO & Global Operations Center of Excellence function and finally Global Operations Finance where the position as Sr. Business Controller – on Director level – is located and part of Global Operations´ management team.


Business Partner for GO top management

Global Operations is working every day to develop and effectively manage a competitive global production and warehouse set-up and structure. There is a keen focus on effectively managing working capital in a global end-to-end supply chain context. To support overall competitiveness, Global Sourcing is working intensively to implement and execute according to the Total-Cost-of-Ownership / Total-Value-of-Ownership model, securing maximum value to the Group from the best possible supplier base.


As Sr. Business Controller, you are a close business ally to Global Operations top management in all financial matters, business cases development and follow-up, as well as making business analysis and recommendations regarding impact. You will be Global Operations´ link to Group Finance and other Group functions, incl. IT, Business Development, Indirect Procurement, etc. In the position, you will be part of Global Operations Management team and report to Executive Vice President with dotted line reference from site Finance Managers. Hence, the role has very “big on impact” though it does not contain solid line people management responsibility. Nilfisk uses SAP as ERP system and Hyperion HFM as consolidation system.


Your main responsibilities will be:


·       Business controlling and consolidation of finance reporting for entire Global Operations organization

·       Supply chain controlling with focus on operating cost, freight cost and activity impact

·       Drive monthly Financial and Working Capital Performance process including early indication process / review, gap analysis and monthly presentations

·       Owner of the budgeting and forecasting process and financial planning according to corporate guidelines

·       Support and prepare monthly management reporting to CEO and CFO

·       Financial sparring with GO top management for whom you act as a trusted business partner

·       Business reviews, cost center management and follow up on deviations

·       Support target attainment, i.e., financial early warnings, follow up impact of initiatives and implementation of own initiatives

·       Participation in Global Operations Site Business Board Meetings

·       Support and provide input to Global Operations KPI process

·       Continuous development and optimization of financial processes, documentation, etc.

Location of the position is Nilfisk headquarter in Brøndby. Travel activity in the job is estimated to 20-50 days a year due to the global scope of the position.


Experienced Senior Business Controller with business acumen

The Sr. Business Controller for Global Operations possesses the following experience and qualifications:


·       Education in Finance, Economics or similar – ideal education is cand.merc.aud

·       Preferably some years of experience from a renowned auditing firm gladly working with large international manufacturing companies

·       5-8+ years of professional controlling experience from an international company, ideally within production and supply chain. With a heavy business controlling or Finance Manager background, experience from an auditing company is not a must

·       Knowledge of Hyperion and SAP is a clear plus

·       User experience of Excel and PowerPoint at an expert level – knowledge of SharePoint is an advantage

·       Fluent in English in speaking and in writing

irst and foremost you possess great business understanding and a good understanding and interest in a global operations function and its interplay with the rest of the value chain. You have strong analytical abilities and on top a structured, reliable personality supporting you in planning, executing and prioritizing activities. You pay attention to detail as well keeping focus on the high level and acknowledge that follow-up is needed for success. As a proactive self-starter, you have a good drive, stay focused and prioritize in order to get the job done while keeping calm. Strong interpersonal- and communication skills enables you to build relations and challenge business in a positive and pragmatic way.

A position Sr. Business Controller – on Director level – with top management exposure and part of Global Operations management team. With site Finance Managers as dotted line reports there will be plenty of opportunity to influence Global Operations finance organization. The major organizational changes as a consequence of the Accelerate+ strategy will give you a lot of variation and many interesting challenges in your position. The compensation and benefits package will besides a fixed salary on an attractive level include 15% target bonus and 8% company paid pension scheme.
