The Global Products & Services organization overall covers R&D, Product Management and Quality Management while the Global Marketing organization overall covers Brand Management, Insights & Analytics, Communications, Digital and a Field Marketing organization. In order words the two organizations are responsible for developing, managing and ensuring quality of Nilfisk´s innovative products, services and solutions and bringing these to the market in an effective customer centric way.

Senior Business Partner for top management in Global Products & Services and Marketing

As Sr. Business Controller, you are a close business ally to top management for both Global Products & Services and Marketing in all financial matters, business cases development and follow-up, as well as making business analysis and recommendations regarding impact.

You will be the link of Global Products & Services and Marketing to Group Finance and other Group functions. As Finance Business Partner you will be an integrated and important part of the management team for both Global Products & Services and for Global Marketing where estimated split 70 / 30 in time spent on support of each organization. Both organizations are truly global with employees in the US, Hungary, Italy, China and Denmark.

This position on Director level will report to both EVP for Global Products & Services and EVP for Marketing and have a dotted line to SVP; Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. Hence, the role is very “big on impact” and operating on a strategic level though it does not contain solid line people management responsibility. Nilfisk uses SAP as ERP system and Hyperion HFM as consolidation system (will be changed to OneStream). A great part of the position will be focused on projects and development and with a keen focus on continuously optimizing financial process and documentation in this relation. Main responsibilities will be: 

·       Business Partner and financial sparring with management teams in Global Products & Services and Marketing organizations

·       Business controlling and consolidation of finance reporting for Global Products & Services – including specific responsibility for R&D controlling – and Marketing organizations

·       Own and drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning according to corporate guidelines

·       Monthly reports and financial explanations

·       Prepare and present financial performance for management teams, CEO and CFO on a monthly basis

·       Business reviews, cost center management and follow up on deviations

·       Ad hoc financial analyzes and recommendations to enable top management decision making

·       Develop reporting structure for portfolio performance / project management within R&D and promote that Nilfisk has the right products and services matching customer needs

·       Improve financial transparency and -performance by e.g. monitoring KPI´s, cost / benefit analyzes, calculations on efficiency, profitability, campaign response, complexity reduction projects etc.

·       Develop and follow up on business cases and investment cases

·       Continuous development and optimization of financial processes, documentation, etc.

Location of the position is Nilfisk headquarter in Brøndby. Travel activity in the job is estimated to maximum 25 days a year.

Experienced Senior Business Controller with business acumen

The Sr. Business Controller for Global Products & Services and Marketing possesses the following experience and qualifications: 

·       Education in Finance, Economics or similar – ideal education is cand.merc., cand.polit / oecon or similar

·       Preferably some years of experience from a renowned auditing firm gladly working with large international manufacturing companies

·       At least 5-8 years – gladly more – of professional controlling experience within a products and services related business from an international company including experience from a group function

·       Possibly some years of experience from an auditing company

·       R&D experience and / or experience from controlling within marketing, production or supply chain will be considered a clear advantage

·       Understanding of income statement, balance sheet and impact on the accounts of potential initiatives

·       Knowledge SAP is clear plus

·       User experience of Excel and PowerPoint at an expert level – knowledge of SharePoint is an advantage

·       Fluent in English in speaking and in writing, Danish is considered an advantage

The compensation and benefits package will besides a fixed salary on an attractive level include 15% target bonus and 8% company paid pension scheme.
