ArjoHuntleigh's strategy is to be number 1 or 2 in all product categories where the company is doing business. 

Innovation (R&D) and Quality Management is a vital part of ArjoHuntleigh's business and success and the company has 4 R&D centres across the world.
To further strengthen global finance capabilities and R&D effectiveness, ArjoHuntleigh is recruiting a Director, Business Controlling for Global Innovation (R&D), Quality Management and Corporate Functions.

Headquarters in Malmö employs around 45 employees and the Global Innovation organization consists of roughly 140 based in Sweden, US (Texas), Canada, UK and China. The Quality & Regulatory Management organization consists of around 70 employees globally.

As Director, Business Controlling you will be an integral part of the Global Innovation and Global Quality & Regulatory management teams and will act as their key financial business sparring partner. In addition to this, you will be providing business controlling support to a few other corporate functions.

You report directly to the VP Global Innovation and in dotted line to the CFO of ArjoHuntleigh. Therefore, you will have a close interface to the Group Finance Function of Arjo Huntleigh.
ArjoHuntleigh uses Cognos as consolidation system and financial reporting is in accordance with IFRS. Key responsibility areas for the position are described below:

·       Overall financial responsibility for Global Innovation, Quality Management and Corporate Functions

·       Monthly business and management reporting which you develop, produce and continuously improve

·       Responsible for the budgeting, forecasting process and financial planning according to corporate guidelines

·       Capitalization of R&D and Group Function, e.g. IT, activities

·       Act as financial business partner for designated business areas

·       Conducting business reviews, cost center management and follow up on deviations

·       Business and investment cases in particular within R&D and IT

·       Performance management and follow up on KPI´s

·       Participating in selected group activities within e.g. M&A, post implementation of new systems and general business development

·       Directly managing Accounting Department (2 persons) for the Group Functions

Expect global travelling between 40-60 days per year. Due to the impact of the position there will be peaks in work load.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has a Masters degree within Economics, Finance or Auditing


The Director, Business Controlling for Global Innovation, Quality Management and Corporate Functions has at least 5-10 years of experience from international companies where you have gained experience with business controlling on a high level. If you have some experience with financial controlling it will be preferred.


Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications and professional competencies:


·       Experience working with R&D activities is mandatory

·       Experience with budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, HQ reporting etc.

·       Preferably knowledge of IFRS and consolidation systems like Cognos

·       Experience within medical device industry is an advantage not a must

·       Experience working in a matrix organized international environment preferred

·       Preferably some level of management experience

·       MS Excel super user

·       Communicates clearly and effectively in English, both orally and in writing

·         robust, persistent and resilient personality, not giving up  

·          Willingness and ambition to work in a global position with 40-60 days of yearly travelling and sometimes demanding deadlines
