Nilfisk is a currently part of the NKT Group listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. In 2016, it was announced that NKT Cables enters agreement to acquire ABB’s high-voltage business, creating a leading power cables company and that the Board of Directors intends to split NKT Holding into two listed companies; NKT Cables and Nilfisk.

was founded in 1906 as P.A Fisker & Nielsen, the names of the two founders. As early as 1909, the innovative P.A Fisker recognised the need for a modern, portable cleaning aid - and the Nilfisk vacuum cleaner came into being. Since then, many developments have taken place: Nilfisk has always made quality a top priority while keeping in step with times. A large part of Nilfisk revenue is derived from BtB sales while a minor part is from BtC sales. Nilfisk has more than 40 product launches each year.

Recently, Nilfisk has launched a new edition the growth strategy called Accelerate+. The strategy describes how Nilfisk will grow the company towards 2020 to lead the industry with focused and innovative solutions. Nilfisk will accelerate growth by focusing efforts on the right opportunities in the market, by investing in growing business, by making offerings clear to customers and by cost savings to improve bottom-line.

As consequence of the future split between NKT and Nilfisk in two separate companies, the NKT Group Indirect Procurement organization is also split in two; one for NKT and one for Nilfisk. The new organization will be effective from July 2017 and therefore Nilfisk is searching for a Head of Indirect Procurement. Global Procurement in Nilfisk is part of Global Operations, which also covers Global Production, Global Supply Chain, Global Quality, a PMO & Global Operations Center of Excellence plus a Finance function.

Global Procurement consists of Indirect Procurement & Facility Management and several Category Managers within direct procurement and R&D programs. The Indirect Procurement organization will consist of 5 employees in indirect category management and implementation support - 3 of these Category Managers and 2 of these operational support – and 5 employees in a Facility Management & Real Estate team. It is expected that your organization will very soon grow with further employees. You will report to Senior Vice President for Global Procurement who reports to COO, Global Operations.


As Head of Indirect Procurement your objective is to build an effective indirect procurement organization for Nilfisk with the right capabilities to deliver tangible results within a total cost- and risk avoidance perspective as e.g. savings, quality, contract compliance, satisfaction from top management and business units etc. Global indirect procurement spend is +1 Billion DKK a year and your responsibility is to ensure that Nilfisk will get the most out of it by providing value adding procurement support.

Main indirect categories handled by your organization are: Logistics, Professional Services, Facility, Fleet, IT, Marketing, Travel, Insurance etc. In the role, you will develop strategy and opportunity overview per category, determine structure and way of working for Indirect Procurement team and implement efficiently and develop partnerships with key business areas and key suppliers.
The team is also on the threshold of implementing a new global procure-to-pay process and Ariba system, NiceProcure, which must be used for all procurement activities including sourcing, contract management, supplier performance management, and the downstream Procure-to-Pay processes. Main stakeholders will be global top management and their business units who use the procurement services, consulting and agreements delivered within indirect categories. While leading the team you set the good example, walk the talk and manage selected indirect categories yourself. Key responsibility areas for the position are described below:

Location of the position is Nilfisk´s headquarters in Brøndby. Travel activity in the job is estimated to 30-50 days a year, maianly to USA, Hungary, Germany, France and UK.

ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, law (e.g. Cand.merc., MBA, Cand.polit, Cand.jur, Cand.polyt). With the right experience and profile, educational background could also be Business Diploma (e.g. HD). The Head of Indirect Procurement possesses the following experience and qualifications:
