EQT holds approximately 75% of the shares of the company. In January 2021 Sitecore announced secured backing for a large-scale growth plan fueled by 1.2 $ billion in investment. Sitecore is experiencing spectacular growth in their markets and to build on the success, Sitecore is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to handle the increased complexity in business, further professionalize financial controlling, reporting, improving processes and challenge the way of doing things. The Financial Controller will also be a key player in the current and future transformation process.

 

Financial reporting is in accordance with IFRS and handled in the ERP system Netsuite. Fiscal year is running from 1st of July to 30th of June. One of the Big 4 auditing companies serves as auditor for Sitecore, while tax is handled by another Big 4 auditing company. 

The Sr. 
Financial Controller will be based in Copenhagen and reports to the Senior Finance Director EMEA who reports to the Chief Accounting Officer in San Francisco. EMEA Finance consists of 14 people of which the majority is located in Copenhagen and oversees entities across the EMEA region from the Nordics to United Arab Emirates. There is a high team spirit but a positive and collaborative atmosphere in a sometimes hectic workday.


Responsibilities:

As the only Sr. Financial Controller for the entire EMEA region it is a position with seniority and impact. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the daily accounting is accurate, monthly close is being done timely and efficiently, financial controlling and consolidation made and Annual Reports as well as Tax returns are being prepared and filed timely.

The Sr. Finance Director EMEA has a background as M.Sc. Auditing (Cand.merc.aud) from a Big 4 auditing firm and with an outgoing and very delegating personality allowing you to have big impact and involvement in both day-to-day finance matters and improvement projects etc.. You will also be working closely with Danish based Finance Manager, Revenue, Accounting, FP&A team in the US and both auditor and tax advisor on group- and local level. Key responsibility areas for the position are described below:

  • Monthly close including financial controlling and account reconciliations and accruals for EMEA subsidiaries in close collaboration with Finance Manager
  • Consolidation of financial reporting and follow up on deviations
  • Preparation of Annual reports in 10 countries ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Contribute in the dialogue with auditors across all countries to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Continuously improving and strengthening the financial processes, -procedures and internal controls 
  • Participate in tax calculation and provision, including Transfer Pricing calculation and documentation
  • Reporting of various statistics to authorities
  • Take lead or participate in various ad hoc finance and accounting projects and tasks, e.g. new accounting principles, new finance systems, compliance checks
  • Participate and take lead in current and future transformation process in relation to compliance and potential IPO activities

The position is international of nature but only requires limited travel actively, estimated 5-10 days on a yearly basis mainly to the US or EMEA subsidiaries. Copenhagen Office is located at Vester Farimagsgade 3, 5, 1606 Copenhagen V close to Vesterport and Copenhagen Central Station.

Candidate profile:
The
ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree within auditing (cand.merc.aud) etc. Should experience perfectly fit what is described below, a Business Diploma in Accounting (HD R) may also be suitable. The  Sr. Financial Controller’s skills and experience should ideally include:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience after graduation – gladly more – from an auditing company and / or from a position as Financial- or Sr. Financial Controller, Accounting Manager or Finance Manager etc.
  • Experience with Statutory accounting and basic accounting processes, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, month-end closing with reconciliations and accruals 
  • Preferably some experience with IFRS reporting
  • Ideally some experience and interest in Danish Tax regulation and Transfer Pricing
  • Microsoft Office, in particular Excel skills on an advanced level
  • Excellent Danish and English communication skills
