SimCorp Dimension is one of the world’s leading investment management software systems and is used worldwide by international financial institutions and equity funds. Currently, SimCorp is expanding activities within Client Funded Development in order to conduct customized strategic development of SimCorp Dimension for major clients.


The Business Analyst position is located in the Product Management Department in Copenhagen, which is part of SimCorp’s Product Division, comprising more than 400 employees. You will be part of a high-skilled team responsible for developing software, driven by client requests. SimCorp is currently searching for two Business Analysts to work across domains as:


·       Trading, Portfolio Management

·       Financial instruments, calculations, workflows

·       Financial accounting, transaction and position handling, corporate actions, settlement workflows

One of the Business Analysts will work within Front Office (
Trading or Portfolio Management) and the other one within Back Office (Financial Accounting, Settlement, Financial Instruments etc.).


The Department

The Product Management department, which is responsible for the overall product strategy for SimCorp Dimension, consists of a number of domain teams. These are led by Domain Managers responsible for strategy definition and also includes Business Analysts responsible for requirements definition and Launch Managers responsible for the launch and go-to-market of the solutions in the domain. The domain teams closely cooperates with Software Developers in designing new solutions and with market units and clients in defining and implementing the developed solutions. Client Funded Development is a newly established program giving you the opportunity to work with building up a new area and processes.


The Job
As a Business Analyst you work closely together with major clients in defining the requirements for continued enhancements in SimCorp Dimension driven by clients and with Developers translating these into concrete system designs. The position acts a vital link between business and IT in understanding clients´s business processes and client driven software development in SimCorp. You will also have an active role in implementation projects when needed to deliver expert knowledge, sparring and discussing product enhancements based on the client’s requirements. You will take ownership from requirement definition to supporting implementations at clients. Main tasks and responsibilities will consist of:


·       Working with the Domain Manager to make sure that the development will fit the product strategy

·       Acting as the subject matter expert in one of the above areas but also across domains in SimCorp Dimension

·       Gathering, defining, analyzing and aligning business requirements with clients, other product experts and Software Developers

·       Supporting Sales and Pre-sales when required

·       Participating in client implementation projects

Clients are primarily major banks, insurance- and pension companies, asset managers and fund administrators located across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Therefore, you will have opportunities for exciting and challenging assignments through projects with our clients and subsidiaries. The position is located at SimCorp’s HQ, Weidekampsgade 16, 2300 Copenhagen S but around 20 travel days per year should be expected.


Your profile

As the ideal candidate for the position, you:


·       Have a master’s degree within economics, finance, IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, natural science or similar

·       Have as minimum 4-5 years of experience from a position linking business and IT development from preferably financial industry or IT- or management consulting

·       Minimum have 3-4 years experience within either Front Office (Trading or Portfolio Management) or Back Office (Financial Accounting, Settlement, Financial Instruments etc.)

·       Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension would be a plus

·       Ideally certified as CFA, CIIA or CTA if interested in trading or portfolio management

·       Are experienced in gathering and analyzing business requirements for software development through documentation of use cases, mapping business processes or workflows etc.

·       Have project management skills and a sense of ownership of the areas you are working with

·       Proficiency in Danish as well as English – preferably some level of international experience
