Global Inventory Management is responsible for ensuring the balance between having the right service and the most optimal inventory at hand. The team is working with the largest sites in Nilfisk, covering both sales companies, distribution centers and production companies. Fast delivery is vital for Nilfisk´s many customers around the world and cost-efficient warehouse management is a central parameter in the competition against other suppliers of professional cleaning equipment.


Data-based strategic and operational inventory management

Nilfisk is relatively mature in inventory management and the team has developed an advanced Excel based statistical inventory model and a clear segmentation strategy in order to optimize the inventory defining which goods to be available where and how much stock is needed. This eliminates guessing by applying analytically data-based methodologies. The global inventory management framework is with success rolled out to 12 sites and part of this position is to roll it out to more sites. The team is also heavily involved in the global distribution center footprint strategy. 

You will be part of the Global Inventory Management team which is growing and will count 4 employees reporting to Director for Global Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:


·       Provide support and guidance for logistic management and employees responsible for complying to the global inventory management framework on 3-4 sites for which you function as their “Business Partner”

·       Facilitate the quarterly review of the inventory parameters of 3-4 sites

·       Continually develop and grow the global inventory concept and framework

·       Implementation of global inventory strategy on more sites and ensure buy-in from General Manager to more operational level

·       Continuous development of knowledge / training of these concepts in the chain

·       Monitor and track global inventory KPIs

·       Project management of projects related to Global Supply Chain initiatives

·       Secure a sustainable and productive relationship to the sales entities / distributions centers and production companies

Location of the position is Nilfisk headquarter in Brøndby. You should expect some travel to sites around the world app. 15–20 days a year which can be planned ahead.


Experienced Supply Chain Specialist with solid project management and Excel skills

As Global Inventory Manager at Nilfisk you possess the following experience and qualifications:


·       A Master Degree or Business Diploma in SCM (Cand.merc. or HD) or Degree in engineering og similar

·       At least 4-5 years – gladly more – of relevant SCM experience. Experience with inventory management on international level is considered a clear advantage

·       Strong Excel skills (e.g. Pivot tables, Vlookup etc.) and solid analytical and numerical skills

·       Solid project management skills important in order to implement global inventory model on more sites
