We are offering a challenging position as Associate Director, for Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) Coordination in the IMP department which is part of Global Pharmaceutical R&D. The department consisting of 11 engaged employees is responsible for clinical trial supply, packaging and distribution on a global level with many activities outside Denmark. One group in the department is responsible for operations while the other group which the Associate Director will lead is responsible for coordination.

Your expectations
You will be responsible for

  • leading a group of 4 IMP Coordinators
  • acting as deputy for the Director of the IMP department
  • coordination between involved stakeholders (Clinical, CMC, Regulatory, QA, CMO/CROs and Ferring Sales & Marketing affiliates)
  • outsourcing activities
  • business development within the department as well as cross functional
  • keeping SOPs updated within a defined area
  • contributing with coordination activities to some extent (e.g. management of labeling, packaging, shipping, return and destruction of clinical supplies) in case of excessive activities within a given time period

Our expectations

We expect you to hold a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, with experience and a proven track record from the pharmaceutical industry within clinical supplies. Understanding of GMP and GCP requirements for clinical supplies is essential. You have 2 – 3 years experience as a line manager and you must thrive on working very independently with your team and their tasks.


At the same time, you should be keen on maintaining a close collaboration with colleagues, both in your own as well as other departments within a changing and evolving company. Strong communication skills are essential in this role in order to interact with many other disciplines. You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and you are proactive and service-minded. You must also have strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. You are fluent in English and keen on working in a multicultural environment.
