The company is on a strong growth track having acquired two companies in 2012 which together added more than 1400 employees and strengthened global footprint. ArjoHuntleigh's strategy is to be number 1 or 2 in all product categories where the company is doing business.

Headquarters in Malmö employs around 45 employees. The Corporate Finance function reports directly to ArjoHuntleigh CEO and plays a vital role in the growth and financial performance of ArjoHuntleigh. The Corporate Finance function consists of a Financial Reporting & Controlling team, which this position will lead, an Accounting Department for Corporate Functions and a Corporate IT and Legal team.

In addition the Finance organization consists of regional Finance Directors reporting in dotted line to the ArjoHuntleigh Group CFO and local Finance Managers in most of the countries where ArjoHuntleigh is present. Regional reporting is submitted to the Corporate Finance function through the Cognos consolidation system and monthly reporting takes 3½ days. ArjoHuntleigh reporting is in accordance with IFRS.

The position which has a corporate wide and top management exposure is a replacement for the current head of Group Controlling who has been internally promoted. Therefore, the position has corporate wide truly global and top management exposure and you will work with other energetic high capability colleagues. 


As  Director, Group Financial Reporting and Controlling you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analyzing financial reporting and controlling for the entire ArjoHuntleigh Group. You will contribute to further developing the finance function and play a key role in optimizing the overall financial performance of ArjoHuntleigh. 

The position reports to ArjoHuntleigh's Group CFO who has been 6 years with the company and has an educational background as Certified Public Accountant. You will have interfaces to top management, regional Managing Directors and Finance Directors and also to Supply Chain / factories and auditing. 

Key responsibility areas for the position are described below. Some of the tasks are handled by your three direct reports while you also handle some of them yourself which makes the position span from a highly strategic to a more hands-on analytical perspective:

·         Overall responsible for group financial controlling and reporting financial statements to top management and Getinge Group

·        Act as a financial business partner for Group CFO and top management

·        Ensure correct, value adding and timely financial reporting - this includes further improvement and professionalization of reporting quality

·        Responsible for financial planning process as well as budgeting and forecasting process across ArjoHuntleigh

·        Explaining financial figures and follow up on deviations

·         Providing financial transparency for business decisions including analysis  and assessment of them in terms of impact on accounting 

·        Building an internal control setup and environment, this includes assessment of business processes and financial risk

·        Handling contact with other finance functions (regional, business and group)

·        Handling contact to external auditors and follow up on external audit

·        Participating in M&A and post merger integration work, in particular financial integration of acquired companies plus general business development

·        Ad hoc assignments like rulebook for new ERP system, post acquisition accounting matters, working capital improvements etc.

·        Management of 2 Controllers and 1 ERP rulebook specialist

Expect global travelling between 30-50 days per year. Due to the impact of the position there will be peaks in work load.

Canddiate Profile

The ideal candidate has at least a Masters degree within auditing, preferably supplemented with a Public Certified Auditor education.


The Director, Group Financial Reporting & Controlling has at least 5-10 years of progressive experience after graduation, some or all of these from a big 4 auditing company.


Your experience ideally also includes having worked as Group Financial Controller or Head of Financial Reporting in an international corporate environment.


Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications and professional competencies:

·       Experience with reporting and financial statements in accordance with IFRS

·       A solid understanding of consolidation systems, preferably Cognos

·       Experience with internal control activities

·       Experience working with companies covering supply chain / factories in order to have knowledge of the entire value chain is mandatory

·       Preferably some experience with budgeting and forecasting

·       Experience within medical device industry is an advantage not a must

·       Management experience

·       MS Excel super user

·       Communicates clearly and effectively in English, both orally and in writing

 ·         Good leadership skills including the ability to set objectives, prioritize activities and at the same time develop, inspire and motivate people

 ·         A robust, persistent and resilient personality, not giving up

 ·         Willingness and ambition to work in a global position with 25-50 days of yearly travelling and sometimes demanding deadlines
